Hi, I’m Patrick.
I help businesses grow through smarter marketing and AI.

I've spent the last decade doing hands-on marketing work — from technical SEO and paid search to content strategy and analytics. Along the way, I taught myself to build with AI, and that combination turned out to be pretty rare.

The quick background

I started in hands-on technical marketing work — SEO audits, Google Ads campaigns, analytics implementations. The kind of work where you learn how things actually function, not just how they’re supposed to.

From there I moved into strategy — leading SEO programs, building content architectures, advising on marketing tech stacks. I got to see what works across different industries, business models, and budgets.

Then AI changed the game. I taught myself to develop — Python, APIs, automation frameworks. I started building custom AI agents and tools to solve marketing problems that didn’t have off-the-shelf solutions.

That combination — deep marketing expertise plus the ability to actually build AI-powered tools — turned out to be pretty rare.

Currently I lead AI strategy and SEO at an agency while taking on select freelance clients through Improve It Marketing.

What I believe about marketing

Marketing should generate revenue, not just activity.

Impressions and clicks are fine, but if nobody can connect the work to leads and revenue, something is broken. Everything I do is oriented around business outcomes.

AI is a tool, not a strategy.

AI amplifies good marketing and accelerates bad marketing. It’s incredibly powerful when applied to the right problems — and completely useless when it’s not. I help you tell the difference.

Process matters more than heroics.

I’ve built repeatable frameworks for content audits, SEO assessments, competitive analysis, and reporting. You’re getting systems that have been refined over years, not someone figuring it out on the fly.

Honesty saves everyone time.

If I don’t think I’m the right fit for your project, I’ll tell you. If something isn’t working, I’ll tell you that too. The best working relationships start with transparency.

What I’ve worked on

I’ve had the chance to work across industries that don’t look alike — and that’s been one of the most valuable parts of my career.

Government & public sector

Airports, government agencies. Large-scale content, accessibility requirements, complex stakeholder environments.

Health & supplements

YMYL content, E-E-A-T optimization, navigating regulatory nuance.

Home services

Local search at scale, multi-area expansion, Google Business Profile management.

Ecommerce

Product page optimization, category architecture, content strategies driving organic revenue.

B2B & B2C

Lead generation, brand visibility, full-funnel marketing strategy.

The part most marketers can’t do

In addition to strategy and consulting, I build things. Custom AI agents, automated workflows, reporting tools, content analysis systems — 6+ purpose-built tools and counting.

This isn’t a side hobby. It’s a core part of how I work. When I identify a problem that doesn’t have a good off-the-shelf solution, I build one. When a process is eating up hours of manual work, I automate it. That’s what separates this practice from a typical marketing consultancy.

When I’m not building things

I’m based in Denver. I read a lot of science fiction — the kind that explores consciousness, identity, and what it means to be human (which feels increasingly relevant). I spend time outside whenever Colorado lets me. I have an Expanse-themed tattoo sleeve that I’m unreasonably proud of.

My philosophy is pretty simple: work hard on things that matter, don’t take yourself too seriously, and leave things better than you found them.

Want to work together?

I take on a limited number of freelance clients at a time. If you're looking for marketing expertise backed by real AI capability, let's see if there's a fit.
